I’m a baaaaad blogger. Why? Because I’m publishing this after the exhibition has closed. I wasn’t sure whether that was a good idea, but then I figure it’s worth having a record, because that was such a brilliant exhibition!

Outlaws: Fashion Renegades of 80s London” was an exhibition at the Fashion and Textile Museum that explored the creativity and vibrancy of some of the fashion scene in London during the 80s.

“Outlaws” was nominally centred on Leigh Bowery, Australian expat and cult figure of 80s London nightlife, but really, it was a fairly in-depth look at independent fashion designers of 80s London. It encompassed the movement known as the New Romantics, and the 80s London club scene, and also touched on the early days of some designers that are now household names, such as John Galliano. So much creativity!
