Pimlico is a quiet residential area in central London. It’s close to Chelsea and Belgravia, two of London’s poshest neighbourhoods, so it’s no surprise that the charity shops in Pimlico are amongst the best charity shops in London.
As a bonus, they are all clustered around a small area near Victoria station, which makes them very easy to get to. It also makes them very easy to go round, a nice way to spend a couple of hours.

I should probably add that this list of the best charity shops in Pimlico really ought to be called “all the charity shops in Pimlico” or “charity shops in Pimlico” or “Pimlico charity shopping” or even “thrifting in Pimlico”… That’s because the charity shops that make up this list of “best charity shops in Pimlico”…well, that’s all the charity shops in Pimlico. It’s not like there’s the best, and there’s the rest. Nope. You’re getting everything, the whole list. And what a treasure hunt it is!
There’s a handy table with addresses at the end, and there’s a map, too.

Best Charity shop in Pimlico for designer finds: Royal Trinity Hospice – Pimlico Shop
85 Wilton Rd, SW1V 1DN
Bright, airy, beautifully laid out, and the best selection of designer clothes in the area. No bric-a-brac, no books, no DVDs. This one is all about the clothes, and the bags, and the shoes and the jewellery. If you’ve only got time for one charity shop in Pimlico, I’d say go for that one.
Best Charity shop in Pimlico for designer finds (the other one): Fara
13A Warwick Way, SW1V 1QT
A moodier, more atmospheric affair than the Royal Trinity Hospice shop, and one that packs a lot of goods in a smallish space.

Best charity shop in Pimlico for books: Hospices of Hope – Pimlico
40 Warwick Way, London SW1V 1RY
Hospices of Hope looks rather small from the outside, but the main room manages to find space for several display areas, plus there’s a back room with sales items and also a surprise basement room. It’s strong on vintage china and homewares, and that basement room is absolutely crammed with books.

Best charity shop in Pimlico for a good mix of everything: Sue Ryder
37 Warwick Way, London SW1V 1QS
Sue Ryder is one of those old-fashioned charity shop that sell all sort of things: clothes, shoes, bric-a-brac, books, records… You need patience to go through the rails, though, there’s not a size tag in sight.

Best Charity shop in Pimlico for menswear (and DVDs!): Boutique, the charity shop for the Terrence Higgins Trust
19 Churton St, SW1V 2LY
Strong on men’s wear (although there’s plenty of women’swear too), and a good selection of just about everything else. Don’t forget to visit the back room, set up as a cool reading nook. Lots of cheap DVDs, too.
Best Charity shop in Pimlico for upmarket High Street brands (and some designer finds too): Octavia Foundation
58 Wilton Rd, Pimlico, London SW1V 1DE
Large and airy, and a pleasure to browse. Clothes, shoes and accessories are the focus here, though they have a large table for vintage china, and another for a great selection of books
Best Charity shop in Pimlico for kids clothes and toys: Fara Kids Charity Shop
40 Tachbrook St, Pimlico, London SW1V 2JS
Does what it says on the tin… I’ve never actually gone inside, but hey, I’m sure it’s got great stuff.
Special bonus: Retromania, one of the best vintage shops in London
6 Upper Tachbrook St SW1V 1SH
Is Retromania a vintage store or a charity shop? It only sells vintage, mostly women’s clothes but homewares too (and a whole rack of wedding dresses), but it’s run by the Fara charity. Does it matter? Naaaaaahhhh.

Handy tip
Royal Trinity Hospice also have an ebay shop and a depop shop if you can’t make it in person to any of their shops.
Where to go from there?
Want to do more charity shop shopping? How about exploring the charity shops of Battersea? (There’s pizza, too.) And there’s a really good one in Archway. Or you could shop the best shops in Clerkenwell or visit Alfies Antique Market in Marylebone?
Or hop on the Victoria line to Vauxhall (it’s only one stop), and grab one of Italo deli’s amazing sandwiches?
